Dental implants are one of the most exciting procedures in dentistry today. They offer a permanent solution to missing teeth. For over 40 years, dental implants have brought naturally beautiful, confident smiles to patients. In the past, removable partial dentures or standard bridgework was required to replace missing teeth. A dental implant is a small titanium cylinder that is surgically placed in the jaw bone. The implant replaces the root of the missing tooth and becomes the anchor to support the new tooth. Teeth adjacent to the missing tooth are saved, unlike bridgework, which requires grinding down the adjacent teeth. The result is a natural appearance that is permanent and one that allows for chewing food with confidence!

Dental implants have changed the lives of people who once had to suffer with dentures.  For those with the notorious lower denture that wont stay in place or upper, as few as, two implants is all that's needed to hold the denture in place.  This will allow you to eat whatever you like.  Also, it only takes a minimum of six implants to replace a whole set of permanent teeth.

All the upper teeth were lost to gum disease.  This patient chose not to wear a denture.  Permanent porcelain teeth were made over ten implants.  The mouth was restored to normal, creating a natural appearance and normal function, and there are no eating restrictions.

One front tooth broke and replaced with an implant, shown with a white post.  The adjacent tooth had a large defective filling.  They were both restored with porcelain crowns, for a very natural result.
